2016 Summer Fun on Long Island

School's out - let the summer fun commence! If you’re looking for ideas to keep the kiddies entertained this summer, Long Island is your one stop shop for indoor and outdoor excitement.Adventureland on Long Island, August 2008
Go to an amusement park: You don’t have to schlep the family to Six Flags or Hersey Park for amusement - Long Island has its own fun parks - Adventureland and Splish Splash - within reach. Adventureland, located on Route 110 in Farmingdale, has been LI’s main amusement park since 1962 and Splish Splash in Calverton has been ranked the third best water park in the US! Check out their websites for prices and discounts.

Hit the beach: If there’s one thing Long Island is known for, it’s our beaches. Grab the sand toys, beach chairs, and umbrellas and have a family day in the sun. Or, book a ‘staycation’ - rent a home or hotel in the Hamptons, Fire Island, or Montauk for a few days of quality family bonding time!

Enjoy some outdoor fun: Not quite ready to go pro? Help your kids strengthen their hitting or putting skills with a day at the batting cages or mini golf! Country Fair Entertainment & Event Park in Medford has it all - mini golf, driving range, batting cages, go-karts, laser tag, and an arcade. At Station Sports in Huntington Station, you’ll find batting cages and mini golf - but also target paintball and wiffle ball for the youngsters.

Head indoors in poor weather:
Movie theaters, museums, indoor play - you name it, Long island has it. On those especially hot or rainy days, treat the kids to a movie, go educational with a day at a local museum or the Long Island Aquarium, or head indoors for some laser tag or trampoline sports at Bounce! or Sky Zone.

For any questions, concerns, or dental emergencies this summer- we’re here for you and your child. Our practice has been providing excellent pediatric dentistry to children of Long Island for over 14 years.  Please feel free to contact us at any of our 3 locations!
