Things to Do This Weekend on LI

 
 
Everybody is working for the weekend! Now that the weekend is upon us, it's time to make plans. From clambakes to pony rides, we've got you covered. See below for some things Long Island has in store this weekend:

14 Annual Brookhaven Fair (Friday-Sunday)
Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill, 55 Bicycle Path, Farmingville
Admission: $8 ($25 unlimited rides)
Head over to Farmingville’s annual fair with rides, food vendors, games, entertainment, and fireworks this weekend! Attractions include a giant Ferris wheel, Las Vegas style hypnotist show (10pm tonight and tomorrow), plus a full petting zoo! Hours: Fridays 5p - midnight, Saturdays & Sundays 12p - midnight (after 9p, children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).

Science Saturday at the Long Island Science Center (Saturday)
11 West Main Street, Riverhead
Admission: $5 per person
Celebrate the summer solstice - bring the kids to make crafts and learn why we have seasons and welcome the longer days. Hours: 11a - 3p.

Celebration of Southampton’s 375th Anniversary (Saturday)
Conscience Point Historic Site and Nature Trail North Sea Road, Southampton
Admission: FREE
Celebrate the 375th anniversary of the founding of Southampton Village with a daylong family event including a clambake and picnic, rededication of the 1640 town monument, marine biology programs and more!

Main Street Spring Fair (Sunday)
Farmingdale Village Main Street, Farmingdale
Admission: FREE
Hosted by the Farmingdale Fire Department, this fair is held along Main Street and will include food, games, rides, vendors, and more! Hours: 10:30a - 4:30p

Bethpage Polo at the Park (Sunday)
Bethpage Bikeway, Old Bethpage
Admission: Children under 12 are FREE, click here for ticketing options
This Sunday is Kid’s Day at Bethpage Polo at the Park, offering pony rides, games, and activities!

Massapequa Turkey Trot: Saturday, November 23rd
Brady Park, Massapequa Park

Thanksgiving Celebration: Saturday, November 23rd
Long Island Science Center, Riverhead
Have a family science day at the LI Science Center - learn about the turkey, a native bird of America. 
 
Native American Day: Sunday, November 24th
Huntington Historical Society Museums
Children will learn about the daily life of the Native Americans - their traditions, skills, food, and clothing. Register now!
 
Nissequogue River State Park Foundation's 2013 Thanksgiving Day 5k & Turkey Trot: Thursday, November 28

Spend the morning watching the Annual July 4th Children’s Bicycle Parade from 10 am to 11 am at Finley Middle School. Later in the night, view fireworks at the Morgan Memorial Park at 9 pm.

Bellmore Striders Independence Day Run
Pettit Ave, Bellmore, NY 11710
Thursday, July 4, 2013 - 8 am
Runners take on the streets of Bellmore to run/walk either a 1-mile course or 4-mile course. The 1- mile run is for runners 12 years of age and under. The 4- mile run is for runners 13 years of age or older. Youth entries are $10 and adult entries are $20 between June 1 and July 3.  Entries on race day are $22. Athletes 70 years or older pay nothing. The 1-mile run starts at 8 am. Refreshments will be available before the race, at every mile of the race, and after the race.The race starts at Pettit Avenue and finishes at Grand Ave.

Come out with your family and friends to win some prizes, play some games, enjoy festival good, or just go on the rides! Admission is free for the festival. $30 pay-one-price for rides. The festival will go through July 7, 2013. Fireworks on July 5th at 9 pm.
